French Model 1868 Chassepot Rifle, c. 1866-75, 11mm, serial number H17765, walnut stock with brass fittings, right side of the barrel near the receiver marked "S. 1868," barrel lg. 27 7/8 in. Estimate $300-500 Stock has a few dings and nicks, barrel is a gray/plum color, the bore is dirty but good, and the action functions properly.
