Albert Sterner (American, 1863-1946) Baron Munchausen, No. 8. Identified and titled on the mount in pencil by a later hand, inscribed indistinctly "Munchausen/.../158.06" l.l. and "No. 8" u.c. in pencil, inscribed "37 Baron Munchausen" in pencil on the verso, handstamp from H. Scott on the verso. Ink and gouache on paper board, 13 1/4 x 10 3/4 in., matted, unframed. Condition: Light-struck, toned, foxing, left and lower edge with adhesive and paper residue, two linen tape hinges to the verso, tack holes to corners. Estimate $300-500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
