Spear-point Bowie Knife, c. 1850s-60s, dark stag grip with a German silver shield and guard, ricasso marked "ALEXANDER/SHEFFIELD," and the blade marked with "N" and "Y" separated by a shield, red morocco scabbard with a German silver throat, marked in gilt "N" and "Y" separated by a shield, blade lg. 5 1/4, overall lg. 9 3/8 in. Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison. Estimate $300-500 Blade has a few light dark spots, the scabbard shows some wear with a frayed tip.
