Jack Levine (American, 1915-2010) Love Careless Love. Signed "JLevine" in pencil beneath the image l.r., inscribed "Artist's Proof" l.l., titled in pencil on the reverse. Etching and aquatint on BFK Rives paper, plate size 17 3/8 x 22 1/8 in., matted, unframed. Condition: Very minor stain to the u.r. edge of the margin, subtle rippling to margin in that area, hinged to back mat in three places along the top edge of the reverse. Literature: Prescott #35. Estimate $300-500 Sheet size is 22 x 29 3/4 in. Also numbered "TL 1998.313.8" on the reverse. Inscribed "Cafe couple A/P TL 1998.313.8" in pencil inside the mat.
