Large Needlework Picture with Train Crossing a Bridge, late 19th century, the locomotive on an iron bridge topped with American flags, above three steam- and sail-powered vessels below, surrounded on the sides and bottom edge by elaborate vining border with flowers and birds, (some damage to silk), in a gilt-gesso frame, overall 37 1/2 x 42 in.
