Signed "Lyonel Feininger" in pencil l.l., printer's dry stamp l.l. Woodcut on Japan paper, image size 14 1/2 x 11 1/2 in. (36.7 x 29.2 cm), framed. Condition: Deckled edges to two sides, toning to edges of margins, old hinges to left edge, small break to paper within dry stamp l.l., erased pencil annotations to lower margin. Provenance: Purchased from Burton Fine Art, Washington, DC, in 1993 by the current owner. Estimate $4,000-6,000 The sheet measures 16 3/4 x 13 3/4 in., and has deckled right and lower edges. It is hinged near the upper corners. The break to the paper conforms to the shapes within the stamp, and the stamp may have caused the breaks. The frame is 27 1/2 x 23 x 1 1/2 in.
