Theodora Elston "Bamboo" Choker, Sonoma, California, 1988, silk, cotton, nylon, ceramic beads, and plastic button, macramed, embroidered, painted, and crocheted, lg. 14, wd. 6 1/2 in. Note: Elston is a textile artist who creates fiber arts and jewelry. She began making her wearable micro-macrame jewelry in the early 1970s. She is known best for floral depictions in fiber.
