Paint-decorated Pine Box, New England, mid-19th century, the rectangular box with hinged lid opens to a divided well, overall light gray-painted ground and black decoration, the top with a central tree and fence, the facade with house, trees, and a girl playing with a hoop, the sides with several trees, painted sawtooth border throughout, ht. 7 1/2, wd. 19 3/4, dp. 11 3/4 in.
