Three Tintypes, People in Cars, c. 1905. Each of the three images shows two people seated in an open car, all housed in their original paper frames with covering flaps of the same style, one inscribed "Mother and Josie at Revere Beach, 1905," suggesting an enterprising business in which fair- or beach-goers could pay to have their photographs taken sitting in an automobile, combining two new technologies of the time, each 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 in. (3) Estimate $20-200 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
