Williams, Tennessee (1911-1983) Typed Poem Signed. Single sheet typed on one page of the poem, "Efebo," inscribed "For Jack" and signed at the bottom, matted with a photograph of Williams leaning back in a folding tubular director's chair, feet bare, with one up on the desk, tucked under his typewriter; the sheet mounted, reverse mat burn, 8 1/2 x 11 in. Under the title "Testa dell'Efebo," this poem was set to music by Paul Bowles as part of his five-song cycle of Williams' poetry, Gothic Suite.
