Five Inuit Soapstone Carvings and a Pottery Figure, a sculpture with five figures in a circle holding a hide with a man on top, signed indistinctly on the base, possibly "Mouh Panuh"; a soapstone otter with young pup, signed "PCS Povunamtuk"; a soapstone seal signed "Silasie"; an Eskimo hunter in a kayak; and a pottery figure of an Inuit man holding a fish, signed "Helen, Canada, Montreal," ht. 8, ht. 6, lg. 6 1/2, lg. 7, lg. 13 1/2, and lg. 6 1/2 in. Provenance: Eleanor Tulman Hancock collection, New York City. Estimate $200-300 the pottery figure is 6 3/4" x 3 1/2" x 3 1/4", the kayak is 5" x 13 1/2" x 3", the seal is 2" x 7 1/2" x 2 1/2", the single figure is 4 1/2" x 4" x 1 1/4", the otters are 5 1/2" x 6 1/4" x 4", and the group is 7 1/2" x 12" diameter.
