Fred Fisher (American, 20th/21st Century) Silver King II. Signed "Fred Fisher" in pencil l.r., titled l.c., numbered "51/500" l.l., signed "fisher" within the matrix. Lithograph on paper, image size 13 3/4 x 37 in., framed. Condition: Not examined out of frame. N.B. Gyotaku is the art form of making prints (rubbings) from actual fish specimens, which was perfected by Japanese fishermen to accurately depict the size of their prize catches as far back as 1862. The work at hand is a lithograph created by the artist after one of his original rubbings. Estimate $20-200 Framed dimensions are 19 x 42 in. Although the frame was not opened during cataloging, the condition appears good. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
