Celadon Dish with Raised Lotuses, Korea, Goryeo period, slightly flaring cavetto form decorated with a molded lotus design around the interior, three sandy spur marks to base, allover crackling, ht. 1 1/2, dia. 5 7/8 in. Provenance: Acquired in Korea during the early 1960s by the late Mrs. Poul Stengaard Hansen. Hansen worked from 1963 to 1965 as the Chief of Mission at the National Medical Center in Korea; inherited by the present owner. Estimate $200-300 a chip with trace of repairs to mouth rim.
