Three Framed Embroidery Fragments, China, 19th/20th century, two roundels from informal robes, one embroidered with a side-facing dragon clutching a flaming pearl in couched gold threads and satin stitch, the other peonies and butterflies in satin stitch, and a set of sleeve bands decorated with figures in garden scenes in satin and couched gold stitch, all framed and glazed, roundel sight dia. to 10 1/2, sleeve bands sight size 17 7/8 x 6 3/8 in. Estimate $600-800 Not examined out of frame, fading and staining, particularly to sleeve bands. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
