Black-painted Turned and Carved Bannister-back Armchair, early to mid-18th century, the arched and scrolled molded crest above four split-balusters and swelled stiles joined to the turned arm supports by shaped downward-sloping arms with scrolled handholds and turned spindles, on rush seat with old crewelwork-covered pad and double-stretcher base, later black paint, ht. 48, seat ht. 16 in.
