Black-painted and Carved Bannister-back Armchair, the elaborately carved Prince of Wales crest above four split balusters ending in a shoe with square drop, bulbous turnings throughout stiles, arm supports, legs, and stretchers, (legs pieced), ht. 47 1/4, seat ht. 16 3/4 in. Provenance: Roger Bacon, 1976. Estimate $1,000-1,500 feet pieced about 3 inches, black paint with some refreshing, minor chips and chunks of loss.
