Two English Trumpet-base Mid-drip Candlesticks, third quarter 17th century, the ribbed stems with wide mid-drip catchers and flaring bases, the smaller candlestick marked "CA" within a diamond on the drip catcher, ht. to 6 3/4 in. Provenance: The shorter candlestick, Roger Bacon, Exeter, New Hampshire, April, 1977; the taller from The Roger Bacon Collection, Skinner, September 25, 1982, Lot 804.
