Gilt-gesso Eglomise Mirror, possibly Massachusetts, c. 1800-10, molded spherule-adorned cornice above the tablet showing a spreadwing eagle atop a plinth and crossed flags, mirror glass below, all flanked by ropetwist columns, ht. 38 in. Estimate $800-1,200 Tablet shows evidence of some repainting. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
