Yeats, Jack B. (1871-1957) Original Drawing for In the Train: Portrait of a Navvy, [from] A Broadside, and the Printed Version, 1908. Pen-and-ink sketch on paper, finished in watercolors, drawn to accompany Ernest Rhys's poem, "In the Train: Portrait of a Navvy," published in issue number 5, first year of Yeats', A Broadside, with a hand-colored copy of the printed publication, the drawing signed by Yeats in lower left, matted and framed, with a note on the verso of the frame stating that the drawing was purchased directly from Yeats in 1917, 7 3/4 x 7 1/4 in. Estimate $2,000-2,500 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
