Meissen Porcelain Mythological Mantel Clock, Germany, late 19th/early 20th century, polychrome enameled and gilded, a figure of Zeus and eagle atop the case heavily decorated with applied flowers, the base with Hercules unchaining Prometheus, underglazed crossed swords mark, ht. 27 1/2 in. Estimate $3,000-5,000 Professional restoration to eagle wings and to scattered flowers and foliage. Some flowers and foliage with chips; the staff appearing to be a wood replacement. The clock mechanism is a modern replacement. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
