Collection of two similar but unmatched Japanese, likely Shibayama (Late 19th/Early 20th century) card game counters (likely for whist) each with rosewood rectangular block form body with gold hand painted plant motif with eight ivory or bone thumbnails that flip up with stone and mother of pearl bodied diminutive bugs or insects. Each measures approximately 2.3" x 3.7".
