Black-painted Pine and Maple Oval-top Tap Table, New England, the oval top above a slightly splayed base of turned legs joined by a molded shaped skirt and square beaded stretchers, ht. 22 3/4, wd. 24 1/2, dp. 15 1/2 in. Provenance: Lillian Cogan Auction, Christie's, 1992. Estimate $300-500 appears to be made of old wood, and exhibits chips to the feet, new paint, and top not original to the base.
