Northeast Moose Hide Coat, Huron, Quebec, mid-19th century, made from moose hide, and decorated at the cuffs, shoulders and around the collar with dyed moose hair embroidery edged with silk and white beads, the bottom of the coat decorated with a wide red silk band with bead decoration, traces of old newspaper found under the triangular collar panels, lg. 41 1/2 in.
