Cap Box and Corps Badge Worn by William Hasbrook, Company A, 111th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry on Sherman's March to the Sea, c. 1864, a leather cap box with the initials "WH" carved on the flap, with a small "US" stamped on the flap, and a 12th Corps badge sewn to a piece of pasteboard, with a label that says "12th Corps Badge/Worn by William Hasbrook on/The Great March to the Sea/as a Sergeant in Company A,/111th Pennsylvania Volunteers," in a wooden frame. Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison. Estimate $400-600 Cap box has some cracking but in overall good condition. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
