Colt-altered Mississippi Bayonet and Scabbard, c. 1862, brass grip with "1508" stamped on the flat, leather scabbard with a brass throat and drag, blade lg. 25 1/4, overall lg. 30 1/4 in. Provenance: The collection of Ron Tunison. Estimate $200-400 Some dark spotting on the blade, and the leather scabbard is brittle and worn.
