Group of Items Owned by 2nd Lieutenant Pickering D. Allen, Company L, 3rd Massachusetts Volunteer Cavalry, c. 1861-63, a Smith & Wesson Number 2 Army revolver, serial number 13891, an image of Lt. Allen, a picket pin, a bible inscribed to Allen, a shoulder strap, small trunk, lap desk, pipe, grooming kit, camp candle set, patriotic envelope, and a letter written to Allen's family after his death mentioning sending the trunk back home. Estimate $800-1,200 Smith & Wesson revolver is in very good condition with the majority of blueing still intact, some of the other items have wear from use but in overall good condition.
