Bullet-struck Prussian Musket from the Hornets Nest at Shiloh, c. 1862, cut-down Prussian Model 1809 Potsdam musket with a brass plaque on the right side of the butt that says "Musket from the 'Hornets Nest'/Shiloh Church Battlefield/April 6-7 1862/Post GAR 18 Shelbyville," with a bullet strike on the left side of the stock in front of the side plate, and one on the right side of the stock in front of the lock, a ball secured in the spot, overall lg. 49 1/4 in. Estimate $2,000-3,000 Gun is in relic condition with some rust and damage. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
