Three Turned and Putty-painted Covered Boxes, America, 19th century, with stylized leaf and dot decoration, the lids with turned knop handles, ht. to 3 3/4, dia. to 4 1/8 in. The property of Carolyn and Tom Porter Estimate $600-800 Smallest has a small old chip in the rim; the medium box has a loss to the knop on the lid; the largest has a loss to the knop on the lid. All have scattered abrasions with associated minor paint loss. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
