Note: Charlie Meaker received his BA in Ceramics from Montana State and an MA from the Royal College of Art, London, before going on to work as a designer for Rosenthal Studio Line, Selb, West Germany. His work has been exhibited throughout Europe and the United States. Cowdy Glass Workshop produced contemporary glassware with an accent on color. Resident designer Pauline Solven achieved international recognition for her own studio glass work, and her production designs received Britain's Design Council Award. Cowdy's glassblowers fashioned the molten glass by combining the traditional skills of the glassmaker with the new techniques of studio glass.
