Two Pink Lustre Decorated Commemorative Jugs, England, early 19th century, each bulbous shape with black transfer prints, one with portraits of Hull and Pike, below the spout a spread-winded eagle with America and E Pluribus Unum ht. 6; another with green ground and oval cartouches of The Wasp Boarding the Frolic and the Constitution taking the Cyane and Livant, engraved by "Bentley Wear & Bourne Engravers & Painters Shelton Staffordshire," ht. 6 in. Estimate $600-800 Hull/Pike jug: Typical lustre wear along top rim; 1 1/2" rim hairline, no other evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations. Wasp/Constitution jug: Typical lustre wear along top rim; 3/8" rim chip and 3/8" chip along side of spout; 1/2" chip to footrim; 3/4" chip under footrim; extensive hairlines to lower body and under base.
