Four Staffordshire Copper Lustre Decorated Lafayette/Cornwallis Items, England, c. 1825, each with black transfer prints: three jugs, one with yellow ground, ht. 3 3/4, and two with red ground, ht. 3 3/4 and 5 3/8, all with portrait of Lafayette to one side, Cornwallis resigning his sword to the reverse; and a goblet with white band and oval portraits of Lafayette within a framed inscribed "Welcome Lafayette the Nation's Guest," ht. 4 1/2 in. Estimate $700-900 Each in very good condition throughout with no evidence of any cracks, chips or restorations. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
