Attributed to Walter D. Goldbeck (American, 1882-1925) The Wedding Party Unsigned. Oil on canvas, 34 x 41 in. (86.4 x 104.1 cm), unframed. Condition: Partially detached from stretcher due to losses at tacking edges, partial loss to u.l. corner, severe surface grime, prominent flaking to left edge, scattered punctures and tears, especially l.r. corner resulting in losses to canvas, canvas deformation. Estimate $600-800 Loss to u.l. corner measures 4 x 3 inches. The vertical puncture to the l.r. corner measures 5 inches with an 1 1/2 inch loss near the bottom of the puncture, the vertical puncture next to it measures 2 1/4 inches with a 1/2 inch loss to the center of the puncture. Tacking edges have come away entirely at the left side, half of the upper and lower edges, and partially on the right edge. Small puncture to the l.l. corner, two to the u.r. quadrant, and one at u.c. near edge. Staining on the reverse to the left quarter.
