Ferdinand Spiegel (German, 1879-1950) Two Framed Portraits of WWI Soldiers. Both signed "Ferdinand/Spiegel-Vogesen 1918" l.r. Charcoal and gouache on paper, sight size 17 3/4 x 15 7/8 in. Condition: Mustachioed Soldier with toning and minor area of residue, possibly adhesive to l.r. corner; Clean-cut Soldier with two very minor half circle stains to upper edge. N.B. Both soldiers wear a German Model 1917 Krätzchen, or field cap. Estimate $20-200 Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
