William Autenrieth Cased Surgical Set, Cincinnati, Ohio, 1876, mahogany-cased box with presentation plaque on top reading: "Elisha F. Roland/Medical College of Ohio/Prize in Physiology/Lesson 1876-77/by Prof. Jas. Whittaker," steel tools with crosshatched ebony handles, many instruments marked with maker's name, box wd. 15 1/4 in. Estimate $700-900 box needs to be re-glued at some corners, shrinkage crack on top, some instruments show signs of polish wax and some pitting.
