Kawase Shinobu (b. 1950) Celadon Vase, Japan, morning-glory-inspired design with widely undulating rim, the circular flat bisque base with a glazed center, with signed box, ht. 7 1/4, dia. 6 1/2 in. Provenance: Purchased from Hanlin Gallery, Hong Kong, 2012. Estimate $2,000-3,000 minor glazing flaw (bisque spots) around rim. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
