Small Hosai Satsuma Cricket Box with Cover, Japan, late 19th century, deep bowl shape, decorated with a frieze of landscape with figures in a procession, the domed cover with an openwork chrysanthemum-inspired design, "Satsuma Hosai" mark with a seal, ht. 2 5/8 in.
