Large Wucai Jardiniere with Phoenixes, China, Ming style, short barrel form with a banded rim, the exterior decorated with phoenix designs in five roundels against a white ground with floral and foliate scroll design, six-character Jiajing mark in a rectangular cartouche to one side, ht. 11 7/8, dia. 19 3/4 in. Estimate $600-800 extensive wears and losses to enamels, surface scratches, glazing flaws. Items may have wear and tear, imperfections, or the effects of aging.
