Shell-inlaid Tea Caddy, England, early 19th century, fruitwood veneer box with canted corners, the lid and front with inlaid shell decoration, opening to a covered compartment, ht. 4 1/2, wd. 5, dp. 3 5/8 in. Estimate $300-350 There is a small loss to the escutcheon, the lid is warped and doesn't fully close, there is some loss to the lining, and there is minor inlay patching to front panel of lid.
