Vintage chromogenic print on fiber-based Kodak paper with 'A Kodak Paper' watermark on the verso, image size 7 5/8 x 7 3/4 in. (19.2 x 19.5 cm), unmatted. Condition: Good. N.B. To the left center is the crater Cauchy. The accompanying escarpment has been designated as Cauchy's rille. Numerous small craters, peaks, and domes also prevail in this region (NASA SP-246). Frank Borman described what he observed in a live telecast from lunar orbit: 'My own impression is that it's a vast, lonely, forbidding…expanse of nothing rather like clouds and clouds of pumice stone. And it certainly does not appear to be a very inviting place to live or work.' The NASA negative number is AS8-13-2344. Literature: Reynolds, p. 107.
