Eggert & Son Two-day Marine Chronometer, New York, no. 276, 4-in. silvered roman numeral dial reading as above, gold hands, up/down indicator, and seconds bit, damascened rear plate engraved "Eggert & Son/New York no. 276," chain fusee movement, maintaining power, two-arm bimetallic balance, helical hairspring, jeweled escape and balance, mounted in a brass gimbaled bowl and housed in a three-tier brass-bound mahogany box with carrying handles.
