Second Model Virginia Manufactory Flintlock Musket, c. 1817, walnut stock with "WGV" carved on the left side of the butt, steel fittings, lock marked on the tail "RICHMOND/1817" and in front of the hammer "VIRGINIA/Manufactory," barrel lg. 42, overall lg. 57 1/4 in. Estimate $800-1,200 Stock has a few dings and nicks, some light rust in spots and patina, lock will work but needs some internal cleaning.
