American, Late 19th/Early 20th century. H.C. White Co. (North Bennington, Vermont) stereoscope viewer, "The Perfecscope" (trademarked 1895) with etched metal viewer on sliding support mount and handle. Center of etched ornament with round medallion for the 1900 International Exposition in Paris. "Perfecscope" viewer accompanied with over 140 stereoview cards contained in hinged oak storage box. Cards with a variety of subjects including a female cotton picker, natural sites such as waterfalls, historic monuments, fairy tales, children with pet animals, etc.
