(79.8 x 69.0 cm), framed. Condition: Slipped hinge u.r., not examined out of frame. Provenance: Purchased from the artist, 2002. Exhibitions: Solomon R. The lot is accompanied by a copy of Germano Celant's book Joel-Peter Witkin (Zurich, Berlin, and New York: Scalo, 1995) in which La Serpentine is reproduced as plate 101.
