Figural engraving depicts a young woman and older man, presumably her father walking in the countryside with a large group of hunting dogs chatting to a young man on horseback, likely a suitor. Inscribed within the plate below the image "LOVE'S BARRIER", "London Published Nov 1st 1891 by JP Mendosa" with additional text regarding copyright, lower left margin "Painted by Heywood Hardy" and lower right margin "Engraved by TB Appleton". Framed approximately 37.4" x 45.75". Sight size 26.25" x 34.75".
