Henry Appleton Two-day Marine Chronometer, no. 506, 15 King Street, London, 3 1/2-in. silvered dial with subsidiary seconds and up/down indicator dials marked with maker's name, location, and number as above and outside the chapter ring "For Arthur Stewart, New York," chain fusee movement with helical hairspring, split bimetallic balance and spring detent, mounted in a fully gimbaled brass bowl, all housed in a three-tier glazed and brass-bound mahogany box, ht. 6 1/4 in. Estimate $1,000-2,000 Chronometer is currently running. Box is lacking one carrying handle.
