Heineman Lacquered Brass Craniometer, Braunschweig, Germany, late 19th century, central weighted turned brass column engraved on the bottom as above, with opposing 11-in. dia. horizontal and vertical perforated rings marked with scales and pins to determine the fix points of the cranium measurements, mounted to an ebonized turned base with brass plate, ht. with pins mounted 25 in. Provenance: Alan Peck Medical Supplies, Charleston, Illinois, to a private Massachusetts collector.
