Two Cooper's Compasses, France, 18th and 19th century, one engraved "Hindermann" on the brass ferrule, the body with punched and carved decoration throughout and marked at the hinge joints "1738" on one side and "JCW" on the other, iron locking screw with scalloped brass washer; and a walnut example with scrolling carved tulips on the arms, marked "AHV 1807."
