Dollond Cased Marine Barometer, London, 19th century, step molded convex mahogany case with engraved silvered dial reading as above with adjustable vernier, upper hinged door with inset alcohol thermometer, and terminating in a turned brass cistern, (lacking mercury) housed in the original dovetailed red-stained shipping case with interior paper directions label and lacquered brass gimbal, instrument ht. 36 1/2 in. Estimate $1,000-1,500 lacking mercury, nice old finish.
