20th century. Regency style black and gilt painted library steps with diaper patterned border on each trapezoidal step supported by tapered and ring banded legs at front, lower front with turned stretcher support. Back of steps joined by curved rectangular legs (outswept at bottom), and scrolled at top with acorn and leaf motif painted on sides. Underside with impressed numbers, likely pattern or serial number. Approximate height 35.25", width 10.5", depth 17.25".
