Kay, John (1742-1826) Mr Thomas Blair, Late of the Stamp Office, Edinburgh, 1792. Small etching of Blair, a little person who lived in Scotland in the late 18th century; printed on wove paper, engraved by Kay, the prolific Scottish caricaturist; mounted in an old frame (with no glass, held together with tape) reverse mat burn to the print, foxing, marginal water stains, 7 x 4 3/4 in. Estimate $100-150 frame is 9 1/4" x 7 1/4", with the image size being 3 3/4" x 2". The frame itself is made of bird's-eye maple.
